AWHL STRUCTURE

In pursuit of its transformation agenda, the NA has continued to take concrete steps to give AWHL a strong  footing from take off.  The essence is a follow up to the envisaged repositioning of the welfare schemes towards attaining optimum Performance in the implementation of measures aimed at addressing lapses when identified.

The group is conceived as a holding company.  It is directly under the Office of the Chief Of Army Staff (COAS) Headed by a Group Managing Director, all its subsidiary companies are expected to have a line relationship with each other. 

Since the take of AWHL is a major component of this process, a number of activities have been initiated to actualize the programme of the group and performance of its task of quick harmonization of the operations of the schemes.The substantive Board of Directors, with COAS as Chairman, was inaugurated on 21 May 2008.  the 20 member board is composed as follows:

   All the subsidiary companies under AWHL have been statutorily registered.  Legal issues related to the incorporation of the holding company are however being resolved to perfect the regimes formalities.

Each of the subsidiary companies have a Board of Directors. The day to Day operations of the subsidiary companies are run by the individual Managing Directors aided by their management staff
