NASDMU began operation in 1998 as a limited liability company with the objective of producing and marketing high quality essential drugs for NA. Its is a registered company limited by shares. Oceanic Bank partners with NASDMU as a share holder. In its efforts to brighten its prospects, the company is also negotiating a joint venture agreement with a Chinese firm, which would enable NASDMU to produce antiretroviral drugs and Arthemesinin Combination Therapy for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and malaria respectively. This arrangement is expected to to enhance productivity and prospects of the company substantially. NASDMU is already well positioned for an expanded business by virtue of the reputation of of its products as authentic and major panacea against fake drug syndrome. NAFDAC has commended the company for its reliability in this connection. Indeed the company has great potential for profit making by virtue of this achievements. The attention being enjoyed by the company in the NHIS operation in the NA is another basis for optimism.
